Dear Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF),
My name is Lucky Brian W. applying for a trainee position at MAAIF. I offered a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies with a 2nd Upper Degree. I am a self-motivated person, committed, responsible and I enjoy working in teams and sometimes leading them. I am computer literate with good interpersonal, listening, mobilization and communication skills, skills in data collection, policy analysis, report writing, preparing outcome papers, conducting trainings in farming models like Farm Planning and CREAM.
I have coordinated and co-organized a number of several big workshops, conferences, high level dialogues and co-organizing the Joint Agricultural Sector Annual Reviews with MAAIF (since 2016 to this year) at regional and national level and other convenings at the community level. I possess knowledge and skills in land and water resource management, biodiversity conservation, wetlands ecology and management, solid waste management, climate change adaptation and mitigation among others.
I am currently leading a Resource Rights Project implemented in Teso sub region aimed towards Integrated water and land resource management for improved livelihoods and food security.
My 5 year experience while working with NGO work, skills in multitasking and a good education background I am confident that I can ably deliver under this Ministry.
