Lost Land Title

Abbas Kityo made this Access to Information request to Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Abbas Kityo to read recent responses and update the status.

From: Abbas Kityo

Dear Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development,
My land documents were presented to Wakiso land office for subdivision about three years ago. Due to uncertainty because of not very clear responses from the surveyor handling, I went to the land office and all efforts to trace the land title led to nothing.
Another surveyor was engaged to work on my behalf who developed cold feet after a period of time to the extent of avoiding me.
I then engaged a law firm to follow up my documents but they seem to be frustrated by most especially the MZO who always insists on "keep on searching" even when an officer confirmed to him (MZO) in my hearing that the title is lost. Why is the MZO resisting any move towards declaring the title lost such that replacements procedure kicks off. Block 592, Plot 104, Ssaza Busiro.

Yours faithfully,

Abbas Kityo

Dear Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development,

On 28th June, 2016, I sent in my complaint and no response has come forth. May somebody please respond; I need to provide land titles to the new owners otherwise they are treating me as a crook Block 592, Plot 104, Ssaza Busiro. A copy of what I earlier sent:

Good afternoon sir/madam,

We are still under court but i humbly request you to help me and am
the heir to the late Byekwaso B K. One of the challenges am facing is
that these members are not availing to me the block and plot number
but i request for your cooperation and support so that I can give them
to the lawyer at justice Centres Uganda Mrs. Jackie.

I request to know the three land titles(block and plot numbers. one at
Seguku, the other at Gomba kanoni town council and the last one in
mpenja) in my late's name BYEKWASO BULASIO KAGUGUBE.

I am currently having training at Ministry of Gender and I hope later
to earn a living and be able support myself though I also expected to
be the benefiary to my late father's estates but relatives and so
others have not been honest, reasonable and transparent in their
support.

I will be glad to have your positive response towards this.

Thanks
