Tony Michael Mwami made this Access to Information request to Ministry of Defence / Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF)
Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Ministry of Defence / Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Ministry of Defence / Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF),
I'm a student pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication at Uganda Christian University, Mukono in my third and final year of study.
This semester, we're working on a movie as students of Mass Communication at UCU. Titled "The Luwum Story", the movie is a dramatized account of the events that led to the murder of the Late Archbishop Janani Luwum by the government of General Idi Amin Dada in 1979. The movie is basically field work under a course unit called TV Drama. However, in the event that we produce it to the best of our desired quality, we hope to also showcase it to the public at events like the Uganda Film Festival held annually.
The reason I'm writing this, as the Producer in charge of PR and Research, is that we would like to get some help from the UPDF with resources like props, costumes, and location, where possible. For props, we were requesting for help with ammunition (a few guns, pistols, bullets and batons). Costumes are basically the army uniforms of the 1970s, if possible. For locations, we could use a few shots of the barracks and a few rooms to just show location our interrogation rooms as barracks, although we could actually use other rooms on the interior. I would like to know how possible accessing this help is, and to also know if there are specific procedures we will have to follow.
We would really appreciate all the help we can get. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you very much.
Tony Michael Mwami
