Residual salary arrears

Timothy Acidri made this Access to Information request to Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development

This request has been reported as needing administrator attention (perhaps because it is vexatious, or a request for personal information)

From: Timothy Acidri

Dear Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,

When will the payment of verified residual salary arrears claims be done? We were made to sign teachers residual arrears claims in June 2016 by the PHRO Nwoya district. However, to date there is neither some clear communication nor payment of the same. I guess striking or seeking legal help may soon become the only viable option.

Yours faithfully,

Acidri, T.

Dear Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,

I will very much appreciate it if you can ably respond to information requests. Word around is that the Accountant General says there is no money for payment of arrears. My question then is: If you knew that there is no money for the payment of residual salary arrears why do you let it accumulate and two. Why did you raise our expectations when you know (perhaps) that it is a tall order for the payments to be done at the moment?

The value of the money will be much less than when you would have paid us then. Why cant you charge an annual interest on the amount due per person to cater for inflation and the loss in value of the money?

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Timothy Acidri

Dear Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,

To access information in custody with a government MDA does it require service of a court order? I thought access to information is a right enshrined in our constitution.

This is not nice at all.

Yours faithfully,

Timothy Acidri

Dear Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,

I give up. If you will pay fine, if not fine. I should not be held hostage by you for denying me my employment rights.

For God and my country.

Yours faithfully,

Timothy Acidri
