I am WEGULO SAMUEL, Director of BUSOLWE KNITTING AND TAILORING CENTRE found in Busolwe town council in Butaleja district in Eastern Uganda.
I started a skills Centre where youths come and learn the knitting and tailoring skill for self dependency and sustainability. This has reduced on youths engaging in wasteful activities and improved productivity and self esteem as many dropped out of schools after COVID.
We are however limited with equipments like knitting machines, embroideries, overlock, tailoring machines both manual and electrical.
Its on this note therefore that I request for a helping hand from state house in this regard for us to have these machines in place to serve more youth as many have shown interest.
In doing so, we are securing their future by alleviating poverty and also reducing youth unemployment in Busolwe Town council and Butaleja district as a whole.
We believe that with your support, this skills centre will touch more youths in the community .
