Dear Ministry of Education and Sports,

Salutations. I would like to respectfully bring to your attention the utilization of gender-based criteria in the selection process for specific university courses. It has come to my attention that, in certain instances, there exists a disparity of 10 points in the weighting between males and females. I question the fairness of such a discrepancy, particularly considering the additional advantage of 1.5 extra points awarded to females. Is this practice still equitable and appropriate? The principle of equal opportunity in the pursuit of higher education should apply to all individuals. Why should I exert substantial effort to achieve a higher score than a female counterpart, only to discover that she has been granted a course despite potentially investing lesser effort? I implore you to reevaluate this policy for the benefit of all parties involved. Thank you for your attention.

Yours faithfully,
Mbogo Umar
