Dear Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB),
Am Kisakye Esther on my academic documents but my birth certificate has Kisakye Esther Juliet so I registered three names with NIRA for my national Id.
So I would like to know which procedure can I use to have three names legally to match my academic documents and also the costs involved.

Dear Esther,

It depends on what you want to be known by and the names you would like to keep/ You need to know that your current documents do not belong to the person registered to NIRA even if it’s the same person. Names are very particular and the ones you used at registration should be what you use throughout unless you changed and registered an Affidavit.
An affidavit is 50,000/= but then you proceed to publicize your new names in the Uganda Gazette or a newspaper of wider circulation.

You will then have to apply for new academic documents from UNEB, I hope you are aware.
