Dear sir/madam
Iam Bukenya George, i started my journey of studies in primary at kyabirwa primary school and completed it in 2011. It is a seven a year course and I got 23 aggregate division Two. I didn’t go to nursery school. And After my primary, I joined a secondary school in 2012 , Called St. Stephen senior secondary school Budondo Jinja for both Advanced Level and Ordinary level, In my O’ Level, I got 50 aggregates and in A’ Level l got 9 points and I was mentioned among the best students who scored highly in that year .
Currently, am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication at Kampala University year one semester two. My dream and ambition is to be a professional journalist. I like being a journalist since my childhood, what inspired me to do this field of study is because l like to speak for the voiceless people in my society about any injustice, domestic violence , issues pertaining the community by representing those who are outside colloidal of power, and also like to act as a bridge in my community by linking different people like rulers to the citizen through media platform.
During my school break or holidays, I engage myself in painting as a way to solicit some money to start with in the next term or semester . Volunteering is also part of my hobbies, l like doing communal work like cleaning borehole, wells and involving in painting our primary school, repairing roads during rainy seasons, l like giving courage and hope incase someone lost a dear one, sometimes we go further to collect condolence for him/her. I inspires my friends at school to work together as one in times of trouble, to build and strengthen s the spirit of brotherhood.
l love to extend this spirit furthermore, doing communal work, volunteering, donating, helping the needy ,making innovations and rehabilitations of our church and our primary school in order to promote education so on in future, All our family is living in the life of struggle, no one can help one another so I understand the value of education that it’s the only way through which families, communities are changed.
The experience am passing through is unfavorable for me to complete without financial support. At school from the start up to now I do not get
lunch, this makes my evening lectures so difficult to attend and understand, because during this period, I face a serious hunger in stomach, I eat once in a day when am back home.
Lastly, Besides tuition, things likes books, pamphlets, course tour of study, I really miss them because a tour costs some money which I always don’t raise, books and pamphlets I used to make a photocopy amidst semester.
